It is commonplace to claim that Fanon was taught by Aimé Césaire at Lycée Schœlcher in Martinique. Yet in his new bio on Fanon, Adam Shatz writes that this was not the case (without providing an accurate reference). Does anyone know what to make of these competing claims?
