Taking giant, bold steps seems to be the way of agentic AI. That flies in the face of traditional software engineering. Time will tell if that's the right move -- it's too early to tell now.

How do you recognize a grifter, a shill meister, a fraudster? Most of the time, it's easy to recognize them because they tend to start their posts with "Studies have shown". Whenever I see that, I always reply, "Wow, that's very interesting. Can you share the links to those studies?"

Nowadays many pundits are gloating and announcing the coming of the golden age of sewage workers. They call it "the grand and glorious cleanup of the LLM slop code".

I was expecting it to happen and finally today it did: I met a person who has never used AI! I was amazed. Anyone else had a chance to meet an AI virgin?

If you were to magically erase all world religions, given enough time brand new religions will form & they will be very different from the erased ones.
If you were to erase all science, given enough time science will come back & it will be pretty much identical to the erased one.

Software professionals are very familiar with coding katas. Those are mandatory for keeping up desired professional standards, and I am always teaching coding katas to receptive teams.
What I find surprising is how come no one has ever introduced deployment katas? Or delivery katas?

Today, AI is helping me fully grasp Emmy Noether's time-translation symmetry of the laws of nature. How can anyone disparage AI when it is such a powerful tool for helping us learn about the reality? Without AI, I'd have to dig around and pour over tomes of books and articles and white papers.

There is no need to believe in science. You can safely ignore science, and no scientist will ever come to you and tell you that once you die, you'll regret not believing in science.

One error that I am starting to notice is that more and more people are assuming that 'meat proxy' is a default position. It isn't.
Just because someone can successfully fog a mirror, doesn't automatically qualify them to be a 'meat proxy'. More work is needed.
