My opinion on here is a whisper in the wind. My action out there is a force.
If Trump knocks down the Kennedy center it’ll be that much easier to tear down everything he ever built once he’s gone

Well this didn’t work
We all agree we are going to ignore both Matt Yglesias and Merovingians for the next several months

Why are there so many people who think putting solar panels in a field is the worst idea when it is in fact the best place for them?
Credit to James_Stew

Switzerland has started using solar panels in between railroad tracks

*attempting to appeal to the slice of the electorate that is 98% liberal* these stupid liberals won’t ever hand it to Mao
Just another opportunity to make clear libs are the real enemy.

Trump is actually just Republican Joe Biden
Nothing was more infuriating than living through December 2024 when everyone was like “basically Donald Trump is the Republican FDR”
"trump is gonna get back in office, do a bunch of awful shit, our dumbass voters are gonna go 'oh, right, this guy sucks,' and his approval will tank" was just a stupid-easy bet

A lot off people are focused on moving Denver’s municipal elections to even years and that seems like the right way to focus.

People love to predict the future and be insanely wrong for example a lot of people thought republicans would control a full trifecta of all state governments in 2015
Here's the Governor model result for the past week

Democrats at 27 seats (-)
Republicans at 23 seats (-)

what really enraging is this was the easiest fucking thing in the world to see coming too. like, did people seriously think a bunch of goons throwing innocent people in vans all over the place on tv was gonna be popular?
When will the people who argued in April 2025 that Democrats should stay silent on immigration own up to being frankly just disastrously wrong about the politics of mass deportations? Their punditry basically bordered on enablement
Florida GOP Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar to Trump: "Mr. President, some of your immigration enforcement efforts have gone too far ... The same Hispanics who helped you get to the White House in 2024 feel betrayed today"

I do not think they are correct
today’s conservatives simply do not believe the public can unseat them, let alone burn down their chateaux, & they lack any fear

perhaps they are correct

I do not think they could even hold denver, Tulsa or Des Moines
there are not enough federal goons to hold a single american city of a million people
I suspect they’re pretty confident in their flock cameras and ICE/CBP goons.

Mao was bad. It’s insane that that’s a potentially divisive statement on this website.
