hinge door in our place i never open out of fear and too much want touch the knob — i am shocked sounds like a party in there but where is my invitation? missing out doesn’t scare me sometimes, it’s open a crack scents from the kitchen waft my favorite dish on the menu i give up. nothing better to do splayed on gray wool, rubbing nothing matches their rhythm the guests tire, it swings open streamers and confetti spilling must be my job to clean ’em up

Okay cariads (or, uh, cariadau or cariadon - I'm only half Welsh and my Welsh language knowledge would fit on a stamp with room to spare), the order is placed.

@victoriascott.bsky.social's Pollination is going to press the end of this month.

Augh oh my lord I cannot express how psyched I am for this to show up on my doorstep - if you don't know what I'm talking about watch the video if you're trans in 2026 or interested in queer history or have ever looked at a photograph this could be for you

Ok. If you are following me, you have to trust me on this one. I promise, if you're in a place for it this will be the best money you spend on any piece of art all year.

Trans life & love painstakingly documented by one of the best photographers you could hope to see doing it.

Writers and artists and creatives of all sorts: reply with a link to one of your works, if you'd like. And feel free to tell us about it.

Everyone: let's check through the replies and buy some creations and support some human beings.

It's my first time doing anything remotely like this - I hope you enjoy it <3

Oh, and it's pwyw for the digital version: download it, copy it, share it!
A genderfluid person leans against a heavily-graffiti'd half-pipe, the late afternoon sun dappling their face. Their kind eyes and warm smile seem to say, "Go on. Click it. Click that link. This isn't even the best photo of me she put in there dude." A beautiful woman looks sidelong out at the viewer, framed on either side by two anchor posts jutting from the still harbour. The soft sunlight paints her cheek red, and her easy smile whispers "you should get the zine! It's pay-what-you-want, and I'm in there tons. Perks of dating the photographer." A non-binary person climbs a tree, silhouetted by the midday sun. Behind their focused look of determination they seem to be broadcasting the thought: "Man, I'm going to look so good when I'm standing on this thing with the sun at my back. You don't even need to pick up the zine, just go to the itch page and I'm the second image down." Another gorgeous woman with bangs and long brown hair gazes pensively to her left, in a way that says: "I just know she's going to forget to denoise this enough in the edit. You should still get the zine though, in the print version you can't tell at all"

Possibly the best photo I've taken in my life. A woman with a waterfall of ivory hair gazes at a sun that's already set for us - but not for her. Two rows of houses melt into the horizon. Yeah, no rowan, rook & decard style promo in this alt text. If this photo hasn't convinced you to take a look at the zine, I'm convinced that not even all the pleasantly conniving alt text gags on the website could manage it. Seriously, it's pay-what-you-want! Send the pdf to a friend! I just want as many people to see it as possible. I worked really hard on this, and I'm genuinely proud of how it came out.

Going through my back catalogue - any #lichen fiends out here on bsky? Saw these beauties on a trip up in Scotland, near Fort William
A pale green fruticose lichen with bright red fruiting bodies growing among a variety of mosses a mixture of crustose and fruticose lichens growing on the same rock - I called the cup-like one "Shrek's Ear" A tight-focus shot of the most delicate cloud-like fruticose lichen I've ever seen, growing on a fence with a carpet of foliose lichen underneath it A similar fruticose lichen, with a web of branching internal structure
