This really hit me at PAX. I ALMOST made the "small check out window" after our first day on Friday, but I stopped myself b/c yes, I could display more work, but it would distance me from THE PPL. I don't want to peek thru a small hole! I want to chat with you (if you want to chat of course)!

we tracked months of rent payments to an estimated 13,000 families. the expected cost of rehousing those families, had they entered eviction, would be north of $218 million dollars. keeping them housed cost around $38-40 million

Well, bathroom/bedroom repairs finished this week and I moved stuff somewhat back in place. We had a good amount of carpet padding replaced, but some areas of the carpet aren't secured entirely, so I gotta wait to fix that before I get my closet back. T_T

Today has been sleep day. PAX was an exhausting delight, and my body was all “NOPE. We DONE. We get SLEEP now.” I feel terrible b/c Steve and I both crashed on the sofa so hard, we didn’t even hear the contractors working on our bathrooms and bedroom leave!

Ppl packing their booths up 30 mins before the show floor closes makes me a sad panda. I too wish to go home and sleep, but packing up early harshes the vibe and also just sends the message to other ppl that “hey, we’re done now, go home.” THERE’S STILL A SHOW GOING ON UNTIL THE STATED END TIME.
