A major issue to this though is that steam would just let players refund after finishing.

omg i just updated the emulated version of BlueSuburbia (the original flash one from ~1999) with the latest Ruffle player. originally i was bummed about how bad it emulated. it's flawless now! recently i made a bunch of Flash games (in Flash 8), and they emulate beautifully too! like 🤯

my roots as a dev are custom engines, open source tools, Flash (AIR), and web… i pivoted to learn a big 3d tool so it would be harder for guys to write me off as niche. now i’m getting written off for knowing the mainstream tool & lectured on the importance of open source 🤦 lol i’m never good enough
