Omg an ad came onto my yt feed last night, which was literally advertising conspiracy theories. It was Qanon-adjacent. I reported it to Google, and they HAVE taken action. An unexpected good result. I bet Facebook wouldn't do the same... I've read Careless People by Sarah Wynn-Williams 👌

So my mobile provider in Australia has cut me off this morning, for not signing up to auto-recharge. I don't auto-recharge because sometimes I go to the UK for a few months at a time, and it would be a waste of money. Enshittification is coming for everything, right down to your phone number!

Insects on my car!!! A very rare sight these days. Just done a few hundred kms in a remote part of Australia, which goes to show the impact humans have. Barely get insects on the car anywhere else. I did 4500km up and down the east coast a few winters ago and recall TWO insects on the windscreen.

On a recent trip to UK I spent time with a 94yo family friend, and noticed this BIG TIME. It is so incredibly unfair. I am generally an early adopter and quick learner, but even I get irritated by how technology creates ever increasing barriers. Apps, logins, chat bots...just give me a human!
