Lexi sighed, shaking her head. “I have to work, but it’s later. Maybe we could grab a coffee or something?”

I stuck my tongue out. “You know I hate coffee.”

She laughed, and for a moment her plainness turned to beauty. “I’m Greek, so I do like it. You can get something else. Like milk, perhaps?”

What’s your favorite fairy tale?

For Ashkiegh Sherridan the troll attack wasn’t a fairy tale. It’s now all suddenly frighteningly real. Elves. Trolls. Giants. Yokai. Celestial beings.

All reall.

And now that she’s aware of them, how does she deal with the new truth?

Who likes supernatural worlds? And chosen famiky? Protagoniststhat actually just want to go home and have dinner?

In Wizardry and myths that’s really all Ashleigh wants to do. Survive high school, confess to her best friend and maybe go on with her life.

Once upon a time, myths were just that. Stories used to explain the world.

I miss those days.

Now, I know they’re real. So is magic. And now I have to figure out where I stand on this world.

Wizardry and Myths vol 1 is now available, vol 2 coming soon

So it turns out that writing a hobbit sequel party is not as easy as it seems. Especially with a handful of characters that absolutely have to be introduced.

Thanks, Aster

“What’s your favorite faerie tale?” She asked me.

“Wheh?”

Picture of a book cover. The title reads "Fractures Between." The Author reads "Beatrice Mckinsey." The cover depicts two women sitting back to back, a jagged white line separating them. The woman on the left is white, has long dark hair and glasses, and sits alone in a darkened wood. The woman on the right is white, has short red hair, and sits alone at the side of of a lake, during a Sunset. Their fingers cross the white lines and intertwine with each other, implying that they're reaching out for each other across a split in realities. The second chance she always dreamed of is only a reality away. Theo's best friend and her first crush, Summer, died tragically when they were teenagers. Ten years later, Theo has a new job and is returning home. The scars of that tragedy run deep, but she's determined to face her past and move on. Until a wish on a comet catapults Theo into an alternate reality where she and Summer never became friends… and Summer never died. Summer falls in love easily, even though it's rarely returned. As a dropout, former bully, and gas station clerk, she knows she's not really a catch. When Theo shows up on Summer's doorstep, she offers the bed in her tiny apartment while Theo tries to find a way home. It's a small sacrifice, but then Theo looks at her as if she's the most important woman in the world, and Summer wishes she could give her so much more. As they grow closer, Theo discovers there's a time limit on this miracle, and she has to make a choice. Can she really abandon her family and friends to stay with Summer? Or will she have to say goodbye to Summer for the second time?

Well, it’s that time of year again where the weather is waeming up, the trees are throwing pollen at everything and the bees are ping what they do best out in my window garden. It’s so nice too have a relaxing day on the balcony of my apartment and just enjoy the breeze.

Ashleigh Sherridan thought her biggest problems were midterms and confessing to her best friend.

Then a troll tried to kill her in downtown Covington.

Now, myths are real.
