💡 See this nice work by Tetyana Gilevska, exploring how anoxic sediment microbiomes break down naproxen (a widely used painkiller) in coastal areas impacted by wastewater discharge. A good example of how microbiomes at the land–sea interface help mitigate the footprint of pharmaceutical pollution.
