I’m tired of my kids being traumatized weekly by their public school. Defunded to the point of barely running, prison food for lunch, full of shitty kids in the name of “equality” and no consequences, teachers who don’t want to be there anymore (who can blame them). Either close them or fund them.

The tortuous, botched execution of Christa Pike is truly horrifying. And while it feels unique in some ways, in reality it is also only the latest in a history of botched executions going back years — YEARS — in numerous states. Please know: this is the reality of the death penalty in this country.

I said it at the time (and before!), but I truly believe that American voters electing Donald Trump for a second term in 2024 was the dumbest and most self-harming choice made by an electorate in the history of humanity

I love that as a parent I am being punished for keeping my sick kid who
is immunocompromised at home. I shouldn’t be threatened with CPS for missing a few days when every other crap parent I know sends their kids to school sick! Homeschooling looks better all the time.
Ohio has a new attendance law for the 2026-27 school year, focusing on intervention rather than punitive measures
The law lowered the threshold for when districts communicate with parents about their children missing class.
