It’s tough to get a good view of this hillside across from where i live, but it’s always worth trying. Every year it has the best reds.

I really, really love living in a place where I can hear the train whistle as it goes through a couple times a day.

I’m pretty tired of people who live in the US with their “Why aren’t millions of Americans out in the streets protesting,”
takes.

Why don’t you start, poster, by asking yourself why YOU aren’t out in the streets and maybe you’ll be closer to an answer.

We aren’t “hallucinating intolerable inflation.”

We are, in the real, actual world - at the grocery store, when paying our bills - experiencing intolerable and unsustainable price pressure on necessities like food, energy, and health insurance/health care.
This is insane. Inflation is under 4%. We’ve genuinely created a monster here: a public that hallucinates intolerable inflation no matter what the actual figures are. It is a bullet to the head of the entire progressive project *and progressives can’t even be made to care.*
Enten: "Trump is breaking records. Yesterday the Marquette Law School poll came out -- Trump's worst net approval rating on inflation. Minus 61! That's the worst Trump has ever polled on inflation, & not only that, it's the worst any president EVER has polled on inflation. Worse than Jimmy Carter!"

It’s unfortunate my brain works this way, but it’s like a pebble in my shoe that the Strait of Hormuz is not literally straight. I propose the Elbow of Hormuz.

I got a call from a specialist’s office today to book an appointment for my 86 yo dad in response to a referral from his primary that was made in May 2024. Sept 2026 was their first opening since then for a new patient 😑

WTF is wrong with the lawyers and judges who willingly participate in this evil shit?

When Trump is finally gone, there need to be serious consequences for all the people who are perpetrating this horror in the name of the US. It’s disgusting beyond belief.

I was in a pretty bad car accident a little over a week ago. Other driver’s fault (16 yo kid; bad judgment call, pulled into an intersection in front of me when i was going 40mph). Both cars totaled. I was headed home, a mile away. 1/x

Finally got around to looking this up. According to this release from the NMDOJ, The penalties( $942 million) are in addition to the changes they have to make to the platform.

Long list of things Meta is required to do in this worthy decision.

Question: are those things in addition to the $950+ million in penalties they pay to NM? Or does the penalty money pay for those specific things?
Meta ordered to make significant changes to protect minors on its platforms and payout $942 million to New Mexico.

There are 42 states involved in this lawsuit. More to follow on those other states reparations by Meta.
