For every professor of any subject at any uni, AI has meant more labor. More time explaining why AI doesn't teach or help students develop writing/critical thinking, more time redesigning/grading assignments. It's zero sum, time spent mitigating its ill effects takes away from me covering content.
I have listened to and read lots and lots of What AI will Mean for College and the one big thing that gets skips all the time is TEACHING. Information provided is not teaching. 8/

I emailed Shark Ninja about troubleshooting my hairdryer at 8:45 this morning.
They emailed me back at 10:15 to let me know that I had correctly worked through all known solutions. They're replacing mine under warranty and will put it in the mail this week.
