100% would advise every fic author from ao3 to contact @transformativeworks.org’s legal team re. the AI scraping and monetizing site. they’re probably already aware of it by now, but more voices calling out this issue can’t hurt.
My dear friend @liv1317.bsky.social has drafted out an excellent email to send to transformativeworks in regards to this, and I highly recommend others send something similar so that something can be done -

A website has cloned a read-only Ao3. It's pulling fics from a bunch of drives and uploading them in a read-only format with everything stripped. No links to the OG work. No notes that may point towards socials. nothin.
