It's possible that 'Simulation' is just that, as James E. Gray never lets us find a fixed point in his wild musical universe. 🖤

New Music: James E. Gray – Simulation | AnalogueTrash
Simulation is a trip, in more than one sense of the word, as James E. Gray serves up a track that is wilfully individual and transgressive. One of those songs has a long story behind it – it took over a decade to finish from conception to release – and it equally tells a story

'I Want To Join The Fall' by @flywheel-cork.bsky.social isn't a tribute to Mark E. Smith, more an kosmische-driven overview of his spiky genius and its consequences. Also it reminds me of how I randomly did merch for Damo Suzuki once, got Covid, nearly died. 🖤

#TIL that Macklemore's surname is Haggerty. A good Cork* name, it explains a lot about the guy, and why he is such an awesome dude.

*No, I will not be accepting notes on this. 😉

Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers don't seem enough credit for what they did - especially the vocal talents of Petty himself. And that's odd, cos you hear their influence in a lot of indie and offbeat rock these days.
Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers received the Lifetime Achievement Award at tonight’s Americana Awards, and original members Mike Campbell, Benmont Tench, Stan Lynch, and Ron Blair reunited to perform with Chris Stapleton. It was drummer Lynch’s first time playing with the Heartbreakers in 24 years.

Sad to hear of the death of Catherine Ringer of Les Rita Mitsouko. Fred Chichin left us in 2007. 1984's Marcia Baïla was co-produced by Conny Plank - hard to believe he died nearly 40 years ago.

Clothes in the video were designed by Jean-Paul Gaultier and Thierry Mugler. 💔

I can remember my mother being upset; a relative of a good friend was on the Boston flight, another helped evacuate people. I know there's a lot of rightful anger about 9/11, and what's happened since. But maybe we should remember that there are those still living and grieving among us.
25 years ago, terrorists killed nearly 3,000 people, including 2,753 New Yorkers.

As we remember that terrible day, let us also remember the first responders, office workers and strangers who ran toward danger to help each other.
