Our research presented at WP2025 Tokyo:

- Other health professions don't recognize our role
- Resource scarcity compromises patient care
- Other professionals (and also patients) don't understand our scope of practice
- Many who need physiotherapy can't get it
- Lack of proper accreditation systems

I'm honored for the chance to help curate their work in a special place to share their findings and tell their stories. Coming in January 2025 to the Cardiopulmonary Physical Therapy Journal.

Authors found the Time to Walking Independently after STroke (TWIST) prediction tool more accurately predicted independent walking than physiotherapists at 4, 6, or 9 wks post-stroke. The prediction tool may be useful for early rehab & discharge planning. 🧠🔄 🧠📈 🧪
