🧶 Linen stitch is a very particular stitch in knitting. It’s very dense (and takes longer to knit), it’s stable, non-stretchy, lies flat and looks neat on both sides.
That’s why I like to use it for button bands 🙌✨

🧶 Linen stitch is a very particular stitch in knitting. It’s very dense (and takes longer to knit), it’s stable, non-stretchy, lies flat and looks neat on both sides.
That’s why I like to use it for button bands 🙌✨

The Annaplexis Drawstring Bag
This past summer I decided I really needed to do something about my cotton stash. So I started thinking up different projects using cotton and now I'm so addicted to this little drawstring bag. I've been making them all summer! All my friends are getting one for Christmas 😄 It's a relatively easy project and you can make it any size.

🧶 In fact it’s simpler because you repeat the same steps on the front and back needle!

It’s a good idea to add a lifeline every now and then, e.g. every pattern repeat, when knitting intricate patterns, such as cables, lace or brioche.
If you make a mistake you can safely frog down to the lifeline and continue knitting.

When #knitting in the round, you're essentially knitting in a spiral, so with every round you're going up a step. This creates a jog on the cast on/off edge and is also visible if you're knitting stripes or colourwork.
