It’s a bit of an open secret that a group of us is working on forming an Atmosphere Community Co-op (which we’ll share more about publicly soon!)

@roguewave.design created an open collection on @semble.so called Co-operatives.

Please do share resources there.

E-Scooters are fun, but this test makes me think about safety.

We Tested 13 Electric Scooters. We Don’t Recommend Any. - Consumer Reports
CR doesn't recommend e-scooters because of their high speeds and rising injury rates. Two of CR's testers sustained injuries while evaluating e-scooters, too.

Roundabout, our local community app, is going to power chicago.org, allowing millions of Chicagoans to connect and share with each other.

Here’s more about what we’re up to, including what sets this apart from messy, noisy, profit-driven social media apps:

Whelp. After rushing through voting on all amendments last night / this morning #BillC22 is passed www.parl.ca/DocumentView...

What this means: in late September, it goes to the senate…who may do amendments but almost always give in if the House pushes.

🚨🚨🚨No more @signal.org in Canada by fall 🚨🚨🚨

Bill C-22 is a Canadian government bill around "lawful access" to data, which is a bit of a privacy disaster that has @signal.org saying they would pull out of Canada if implemented as is.

BREAKING: Signal, the #1 privacy protecting messaging app, is saying they will pull out of 🇨🇦 ENTIRELY if they're scoped into #BillC22 without large changes.

This should be our final alarm bell:.We can have privacy or we can have C22, not both! #cdnpoli

Watching tourists flock to our island today, visiting the park and lakes and the seashore and keeping our restaurants busy. Kingfishers are noisily dive bombing. The sunshine makes everyone smile. My first time this spring that the sun is high enough to have my afternoon coffee on the front porch. ☀️
