It’s great to see that the American Public Health Association is doing a social media campaign on voting.

This is your daily reminder that public health is not insulated from the government and the law.

Check out their work below. 🗳️

This is one of the more challenging newsletters to write on US public health policy. Please feel free to give it a read.

I’m Annie He, and I’m an MPH student studying public health policy. I write about why public health and voting matter in the US.

The presumption of common good is what is being used to power everything beneficial and destructive in our republic.
What is meant by common good? How is this connected to public health and representative democracy?

I hope people understand why voting matters. The senators who are trying to take down Dr. Fauci are the same ones who got voted into office by their own constituents.

NYC is being flooded today, July 18, 2026. Kudos to everybody who is helping the community. This is another reason why public health is important. When flooding occurs, your community needs all the help it can get to keep life moving. I write about why public health is important. Links are in my bio

Public health is very reliant on grants in order to serve vulnerable people of all kinds such as low-income pregnant mothers and aging population with dementia. My take on the OMB policy proposal to cancel all grants that do not agree with the US President.

Voted ✅

To all poll workers, thank you for your service.

Daily reminder: Your vote along with the votes of your neighbors and your community together will get to decide the future for your district, your town or your city, your state, and your country. Plz vote in all elections every time.

The 3 E’s in Health Services Research (Effectiveness, Efficiency, and Equity) is missing a 4th E: Evaluation.
Evaluation is a very important component to ensure that the 3 E’s are working properly.

I heard that the New York Knicks won against the San Antonio Spurs. My graduate school is based in Texas, and I’m based in NYC. Sorry, Texas, I’ll always be rooting for the Knicks! 😁

People look down on those who fight at home without guns for a better change, yet praise those who have died fighting for it. I celebrate the living and the dead who fight for it everyday. I challenge you to do the same. As always, please consider voting in all elections, federal, state, and local.

If you do not care what your government does, people lacking adequate food and housing will be subject to health problems that can lead to early death or disability.

Be thoughtful about what you and your neighbors vote for. Your votes represent your district.
