My partner got our cat his own personal doorbell. It's attached to a sensor on the wall that tells us when he's coming to the door so that we don't have to keep the door open all the time. Much cheaper and less work than a cat flap and also 200% more whimsy. 10/10.

The only way you can identify yourself as anti-Zionist and say that Israel has committed genocide in a shul and not be thrown out, is if you are standing for election and get invited to a hustings there. Mimed the word "avekleygn" (put away) for my Francophone Yiddish students and I said "tak" as I placed the object down for clarity. Feeling proud of my cultural literacy 🥸 Also now coming up with a "hop mayne homentashn" exercise that involves moving some homentashn from one place to another

I think a major reason for why Zionism has become so dominant among Jews is somewhere along the line—and thanks to clever manipulation by Zionist leaders—lots of Jews have started to see Israel's right to exist as synonymous with Jews' right to exist. Extremely dangerous and we need to challenge it
This is the only acceptable answer to "do you support Israel's right to exist" and it's frigging great to see a prominent politician say it
He’s right, and to think otherwise is to commit a basic category error that never gets corrected, because the media and politicians refuse to acknowledge it. Under a human rights based framework, states cannot have human rights, since states are not people; and Israel has committed genocide in Gaza
