Created my first (incomplete) low-poly head, today, thanks to a tutorial by “mmCGチャンネル animetic” over on YouTube. I had no idea what was being said since I don’t speak of lick of Japanese yet. I still managed to guess some meanings, learnt new tools and practiced what The Donut taught me.

Suddenly recalled I once heard having OCs could help make the art-learning journey more fun. But I’ve never had any before and don’t know how to go about it. I’m afraid I’ll jump into the research phase, then stay forever stuck planning, perfecting, completely pushing the actual learning to “later.”

It’s only my 1st try but I’m really liking the app so far. As for the drawing, I must admit I prefer how it was before I tried tidying things up. Maybe it’s because it feels like it lacks character (?) due to my relying on the symmetry tool

"Artists peak at 30", "30 under 30", "by 30 you should" ridiculous. Arts industries capital craves young people to exploit and burn out. It doesn't want older artists thriving and guiding the young. It also doesn't want artists to exist. Stop letting cannibals tell you you only matter on a plate.

1st digital art ever. Done on ibisPaint X. I haven’t figured out all the tools and how to set things up properly yet, but it was pretty fun, considering that was also my first drawing of the year.

Great decision. Let’s not forget Phase 3 of the plan: Immediately regret doing Phase 2, then curse yourself an idiot for going there.

Phase 4 is simply the brain taking over and randomly reminding you of the exact conversation a decade or so later later, at 3 AM.

v5.0 of Blender Guru’s donut tutorial. Did the plate myself without any step-by-step guide to see how much I’d retained & whether I could do some problem solving on my own. The cup looks off. Should’ve used a ref like he said. Yet I’m too proud of myself for having started learning #blender to care!

I was kind of apprehensive about it: “What if I mess up somewhere and end up breaking it? My PC may be half my age but it’s still fighting!”

I realised the past few weeks how “I can’t possibly do much worse than what Microsoft is doing,” so… finally taking the leap!
