Geo-grid rank tracker for Google Maps. Pick your business and up to 10 keywords, see where you rank at 15 to 90 points and who beats you at each one, and why: reviews, rating or distance. Data in the EU. Not affiliated with Google.
A single rank number for a florist is like one temperature reading for a whole country.

A hair salon and a pizzeria on the same street do not have the same map. Categories and reviews decide who shows up where, once distance is equal.

For a pet grooming salon, the useful catchment is how far someone will realistically travel. Measure that ring; everything outside it is curiosity, not business.

Owner question worth asking a physio clinic's marketer: at which points am I not in the top 20, and who is there instead?

Someone else is #1 on your street. AnswerGround puts a competitor's Google Maps grid on your map, so you see exactly where they outrank you. In this sample: 23 of 49 points, all south or east. answerground.com

Google Maps says you're #1. From your desk. From 49 points around the business it's a different map: top 3 at 14, not in the top 20 at 3 (sample data). AnswerGround shows it point by point. answerground.com

How many streets can a bike shop realistically serve? Measure that ring first, then judge the grid inside it. Red at the edge of a big grid is not a problem.

If you change your primary category, write down the date. Anything you measure afterwards needs a before and an after.

Your barber shop is #1. Until the customer moves. Local results are ranked from wherever the person is standing.

Your rank is not the useful number. Their name is. At every point there is a business above you, and a reason.

Google: "There's no way to request or pay for a better local ranking on Google." So the work is relevance and prominence, on the streets you can actually hold.

"Near me" is not a place. Every searcher standing somewhere different gets a different list, which is why a driving school needs a map and not a number.

Google says reviews help: "More reviews and positive ratings can help your business's local ranking." It does not say the count alone decides anything, and it never promises a position.

Duplicate Business Profiles split your reviews and confuse Maps. If a pizzeria has two, the fix is merging, not deleting the busier one.

Ranking everywhere is not the goal. Ranking where people who can reach you are searching is.

Local SEO folks on Bluesky: how do you report Maps rankings to clients? One rank, a tracker, a grid? Building in this space and curious.

"Share of local voice" is a made-up metric name. Ours means: the share of scanned points where you sit in the top 3. Ask any tool what its version means.

Local results and organic blue links are ranked differently. A garage can own page one and still be missing from the map for the same phrase.

A coffee bar that serves customers at their homes should list service areas rather than pretend to have a shopfront it does not have.

Distance is why a vet clinic can be invisible to a customer two streets away and #1 at home. Google says as much itself.

Up to 90 points and 10 keywords in one scan. That is the whole product: your rank everywhere, not your rank once.

Up to 10 keywords in one scan, because "bakery near me" and the service you actually sell do not rank the same at every point.

What a Google Maps rank scan costs: 1 credit per point per keyword. 49 points × 2 keywords = 98 credits. The free plan has 250 a month, no credit card. answerground.com

"We're #1 on Google Maps" and "customers can't find us" can both be true. Google ranks local results partly on distance from the searcher, so it depends where they're standing.
