So Netflix is using "AI" to upscale old movies and shows, with obvious results.
Using an algorithm to upscale old video isn't a terrible thing, but to do it right you need to have someone willing to go over every frame. Trouble is, dipshits think it's magic.

Just finished reading DC’s 52 and I can see why it’s so well-regarded as it was very well put together as a weekly comic book.

It’s very simple and it’s been said over and over but I guess it needs saying continuously: if you deem one group too small to have equal rights you are enabling fascism, not fighting it. The people saying Dems are GREAT on trans rights are not paying attention and/or saying stuff like this.

One of my favourite comic books of the last 15 years. As Andy said - this is the most likely future dystopia to occur down the line where the world is divided into family oligarch-owned regions, and not countries, and most people are "waste" to survive in the wild. Engrossing and gorgeous to look at

Lots of theories, but I do think it's simply that a lot of people have just decided that the world is awful/screwed and so there is no point in being considerate towards the world around you. Too much effort now, innit.
