Found a test report that listed every step as passing without ever opening a browser. The steps were 'reviewed source code, confirmed feature exists.' Technically true, useful for nothing. Tightened the gate so 'pass' requires actual interaction.

Metric gym? Toggle Plateside to kg and every field, preset, and plate converts in place. Same URL, the standard 20 kg bar and metric set swap in. No separate kilos page to bookmark, no cross-converting in your head.

The exact moment you realize the timestamp you've been comparing for an hour was in milliseconds and the other one was in seconds. The bug is not in the code. The bug is in the unit. The unit was always going to be the bug.

Ask most plate calculators for 187.5 lb with whole-pound plates and they quietly round to 185. Plateside says '185 lb, 2.5 lb short' and loads what it can actually build. It won't hand you a weight it can't make.
September 17, 2026 at 1:36 PM
225 is two 45s a side because 180 lb of plates splits dead even. 245 needs a 45, a 25, a 10, and change. We wrote up the plate math both directions, plus what happens when your exact target can't be loaded.

Muscular guys with thick necks read lower than they are. Skinny-fat builds read higher. The Navy method has blind spots, and knowing yours is the gap between a useful number and a misleading one.

You redo the same subtraction every warm-up jump. 135, 155, 185, 205, then the working sets. Plateside runs (target minus bar) / 2 and the plate fill the second you type. No Calculate button to hunt for between sets.

[NEW] Plateside is live → a barbell plate calculator that works both ways. Type a target, see the plates per side on a to-scale bar. Or tap plates onto the bar and read the running total. lb and kg on one page.

How accurate is a tape-measure body fat estimate? About ±3-4% vs a DEXA scan. Close enough to track a cut, not to win an argument. Tapelean says so right next to your result instead of hiding it.

Change your weight, your activity level, your goal, and Macra's calorie number and the color-coded macro donut redraw live as you type. There's no 'calculate' button to sit and wait on.

Diff tools that ask you to paste both inputs and then send them to a server to compare. The diff library is twelve kilobytes. The server round-trip costs more than the comparison. The architecture is a habit, not a requirement.

Round your neck UP and your waist DOWN. Not a typo: the Navy formula leans on the gap between them, so a sloppy half-inch swings your result a full point. Method: appcrib.com/blog/navy-bo...

TDEEfy uses the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, the default most dietitians reach for, and prints the method right on your result, so you always know exactly which formula produced your number.

Every body fat calculator tells you to measure your waist. None of them show you where. That one gap is why your number changes every time you try it. So we drew it in.

Same calorie target, four splits: balanced lands at 127g protein; keto drops carbs to 21g and pushes fat past 130g. Macra re-splits the moment you switch presets. appcrib.com/macra/
September 10, 2026 at 4:36 PM
Most people overestimate their activity level, and that's the number one reason two TDEE calculators disagree. TDEEfy shows all five levels side by side, so you pick the honest one instead of the flattering one.

[NEW] Macra is live → your daily calories and protein/carb/fat grams the second your inputs are done. No email step, no wizard, just the number. appcrib.com/macra/
Macra: Your macros in 30 seconds, from your stats and goal.
Get your daily calorie target and protein, carb, and fat grams in seconds. Enter your stats, pick keto, low-carb, high-protein, or balanced, and read your macro split.

You wanted your macros. The other calculator wanted your email, your phone number, and three popups dismissed first. Macra just shows the calorie target and your protein/carb/fat grams. That's the whole interaction.

Same body, same stats: one activity-level change can swing your TDEE by 1,200 calories, more than the formula does. Why the numbers disagree: appcrib.com/blog/tdee-ca...

[NEW] TDEEfy is live → a TDEE and BMR calculator that shows all five activity levels at once and remembers your inputs, so your next check-in is one tap, not a full re-entry. appcrib.com/tdeefy/
TDEEfy - Your real daily calories, remembered - recalculate in one tap.
Free TDEE calculator that shows your BMR and maintenance calories at every activity level, then remembers your inputs for one tap recalculation.

You lose five pounds, your maintenance calories shift, and every calculator makes you re-enter your height, age, and sex from scratch. TDEEfy keeps your inputs on your device. Change the weight, get the new number. That's the whole idea.

Most 1RM calculators go quiet about the thing lifters actually complain about: the math drifts past ~5 reps. Onemax flags it right at the estimate. Reliable 1-5, caution 6-10, low confidence beyond. It tells you when to trust the number.

Already own a 12ft ramp? Flip to Angle mode, enter its length and your bed height, and Rampset tells you the exact angle it puts you at. Then it checks that angle against your vehicle's breakover so you know if you'll drag.

Build gate caught a placeholder link in a footer last week. 'Sign Up' pointed at #. Nobody on the human side would have clicked it, because nobody on the human side clicks their own footer. Automated checks click everything. That's the point.
