After the Save Applegate Forests rally on Sunday we went on a public field trip of the BLM's Apple Saws Timber Sale to see a devastated ridgeline up above Cantrall Buckley Park on Ben Johnson Mountain, where BLM had bulldozed a new road to log on either side of the ridgeline.

Yesterday ASA led a field trip to see the BLM's Apple Saws Timber Sale on Ben Johnson Mountain above Ruch. In addition to seeing the ecological impacts of the logging, we visited a majestic, old-growth madrone tree growing on the edge of a logging units. This tree is likely hundreds of years old!
