This unsettled and destabilizing feeling I have going into Monday is familiar in a way I couldn’t quite place. But I just realized it is the feeling I had in 2018 between suspicious mammogram and breast cancer confirmation. The feelings of this isn’t good but just how bad remains to be seen.

Not that we need dystopian fiction in 2025 as we are find ourselves hurtling into a fool’s paradise come Monday, but Widowland by CJ Carey could not be more relevant and chilling. It will not leave your head.
