Day 5 - Heal

"Do you think this will ever end? This brings up horrible feelings."
"Maybe. It has to, its gotta..."
"....... Can we stay like this for just a bit longer? Your hugs are comforting in times like these."
"Of course."

Day 4 - Petrichor

-

Finding a sense of home in a land unfamiliar, the smell of wet earth comforts me as I mask my tears alongside with the weeping heavens. Nostalgia for better times grip my heart as I breathe in, deeply, for I long for a sense of belonging.

#Hrothtober2026 | #HRGpose | #hrothgar
Darius standing in a grassy area in Yak'Tel as the rain pours on him, soaking him and his armor completely with dark clouds rolling behind him. He stares up at the sky with closed eyes, hands slightly reached out and turned upward, unmoving. This scenario is a lens into an aspect of him during Dawntrail, where his relationship with the scions had been shattered and his search for his mother continued/had concluded. Given his constant traveling and betrayed trust, and to be treated as a weapon, his sense and longing for a home grows more and more. He desired to seek some semblance of returning to family upon meeting his mother after decades, only to realize she would rather keep him as an animal in a cage than to let him be free, as well as his guilty feelings on leaving his adoptive family in Gridania to pursue this life of adventure. Is his home in Bozja, where he was used and abused, in Gridania by those who adopted him, or among his current companions who have shared the same experiences he had? So much for a summer vacation am i right!

Day 3 - Pride

--

A pride can consist of four non-blood related Hrothgar! At least that's what they say, and no one is going to convince them otherwise.

#Hrothtober2026 | #HRGpose | #Hrothgar
Darius, the hrothgar on the left, sitting amongst his childhood friends; Lyonchka, Andrei, and Svetlana. Lyonchka is leaning on Darius' shoulder with a cheeky grin whilst Svetlana looks unamused. Andrei however is seen holding a large mug of presumably ale. The small gathering seemingly enjoying themselves in their own comradery.
