Google Maps has just updated its satellite view of the Gaza Strip, revealing the massive scale of destruction. It looks much like the aftermath of the scorched-earth policy the Nazis carried out after the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising in 1943.

I've just finished an autobiographical film about love, loss + landscape using archive material so have appreciated other films constructed from archives: Nova 78 at ICA which uses footage from Howard Brookner's archive + Remake by Ross McElwee at Garden Cinema which reflects on the loss of his son

Loved the Ana Mendieta exhibition at Tate which I saw this week. So powerful across different media, compelling, and ahead of its time

I am currently in this #exhibition at Snape Maltings, Suffolk, with a photo that is a one-off, not part of a series, and taken when I was in the Scottish Highlands earlier this year

Just back from a visit to western Canada to see family and friends and walk around the neighbourhood where we used to live. It was a heart-warming time and rekindled my love for Canada and its beautiful #landscape

I was in Wales during the extreme temperatures in June, the humidity was 97% at times. It was a challenge and completely changed the focus of the trip

This is a brilliant essay, which, in my view, accurately describes the predicament of the post-Boomer generations, and the vast infrastructure of lies designed to disguise it.

I really enjoyed the Marilyn Monroe #exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery. It flowed so well and there were many images I hadn’t seen before. Loved the moving image edit too

I hope we're going to see many charges for incitement to racial hatred, incitement to violence and incitement to riot, all of which have been happening blatantly and prolifically on social media. Or will two-tier policing in the UK, favouring the right and the far right, prevail yet again?

A wonderful afternoon at the Barbican seeing Origo by Delcy Morelos and the Curve exhibition, In Other Worlds, by Liam Young, which seemed, for me, to become more powerful and poignant as you progressed through the installations

I saw Rose of Nevada at the Garden Cinema. Written and directed by Mark Jenkin, it’s a mesmeric story of loss set on the Cornish coast that like his previous films follows its own cyclical rhythms and timelines

Do the Labour Party understand why people left them + voted for other parties? Do they just think it's because Starmer has no charisma? If so, they will continue losing.
For me it was about Gaza, about criminalising protest, emulating Reform. A new leader makes no difference if these policies remain

The richest 0.1 percent of the global population are hiding nearly $3 trillion in offshore accounts to evade taxes — more than the wealth held by the entire bottom half of humanity.

It would take about $93 billion per year to eradicate extreme hunger by 2030.

Taxing the rich is a global necessity.
