New from Sue Davis: The Texas GOP has created a political culture that asks women to set aside character, accountability, and even their own interests whenever party power is at stake.
Angela Paxton's Message: Elect the Elephant at All Costs
Her appeal to put party loyalty above character and accountability ignores the price women will pay if Ken Paxton becomes a U.S. senator.

Over the past two decades, governmental bodies, with the help of the courts, have degraded Texas’s public information apparatus—once, one of the most transparency-friendly in the U.S.—piece by piece, nearly hollowing it out.

Here's how they did it.

Texas Was Once a Leader in Government Transparency. No More.
Our state once wanted residents to know what politicians were saying and doing behind closed doors. Now leaders are redacting most everything.

On the one hand, it’s a conspiracy theory to think that Kash Patel’s FBI murdered Lindsey Graham. On the other hand, it’s a far bigger one to imagine that it will investigate and solve the case.

Quick Tip:

"Don't speak ill of the dead" means dont demean, or spread lies, or speak malicious untruth about dead people, who cant defend themselves

Accurately describing someone's life and legacy is not "speaking ill"

It's the truth - which is self justifying in that it is the truth!

New: The 5th Circuit Court of Appeals on Thursday ruled the federal government can’t hold undocumented immigrants for more than 90 days without a bond hearing, rejecting a Trump administration policy that requires immigration agents to hold immigrants until they are deported.
Appeals court says undocumented migrants must get hearing
The 2-1 ruling stems from the detention of three longtime Texas residents. The Trump administration argued they didn’t deserve a bond hearing because the government plans to deport them.
