We've just heard the terribly sad news that Phil Gifford has passed away. Chris Bourke says, "Gifford was a giant in New Zealand journalism for half a century...What is missing from the reports of his unexpected death, on Tuesday, aged 79, is that he was also one of NZ’s best music writers... 🧵
