100% this. Some amazing stuff out there that flew under the radar.
It's great that #BandcampFriday exists, we can all make some extra pocket money but I often feel we skip through new music with such regularity really good albums get lost in the rush.
We should start going back over releases from recent years and revisit and discover new music that way as well.

I totally agree. Music certainly doesn't get the attention that it did. Spending time to really get to know an album can be rare these days. One of my favorite albums I bought on CD when I was skint and didn't like at first. I listened to it repeatedly until it made sense. Not sure I'd do that now.

There will be an Acid Field Recording in Dub part 2 at some point in 2027 also on @subexotic.bsky.social
This week I'm listening to albums beginning with A:
Audio Obscura - Acid Field Recordings in Dub
#MusicSky
#AlphabetAlbumTitles

First AO album I heard, & I'm damn glad I did. This album is lush & I'm glad it led me to his other albums. All are engaging. Recommended.

Released back in June, Dream States is the sound of a piano dreaming, of synths in REM sleep! An ambient and electronic soundscape across 88 keys!
I think its rather lovely. I still have CDs available.

In March 2027 it will be 100 years since the UK release of Metropolis. I have a few special gigs lined up where I'll perform my soundtrack whilst screening a rare 1 hour version of the film.
Still taking bookings if anyone is interested... See promo clips here:

I haven't been on here much!
How is everyone?
I am having what I've been calling an Autumn Audio Audit, even though it started in the summer.
Sorting out all the music and field recordings on my various hard drives, seeing what promising unfinished stuff I have and making lists!

I happened to be in Thailand on Sept 11th 2001, so due to the time difference it was in the evening. I remember seeing people at a Beach restaurant standing close to a telly and could see smoke on the telly. I started watching, was about 2 minutes before the 2nd plane hit. I ordered beer.

Can you think of lyrics that include time AND day..?
Or time or a specific date?

A fantastic record that recalls (for me) the Noto/Sakamoto collaborations. Made me go on a bit of AO session.
