David might disagree, but IMHO some of these changes, like disabling autoplay, screentime prompts, non-algorithmic feed options and default time limits getting applied to all users is... not terrible?

As you read about the time limits, content and feature restrictions and blackout times for Meta's Teen users under the settlement, understand that this is not just the future teen experience. This is the future experience for anyone who doesn't go through an age assurance process--not just 13-17s.

I think for most it's a way to make the grid more reliable, not to replace it. Certainly true in the Netherlands (but we have winters where solar panels are close to useless).
Pakistan is now the world's #2 solar panel importer.
More than India, more than the entire Gulf.
Almost none of it policy-driven. Grid power is costly & unreliable, so households go solar themselves.
But does that push grid fees higher for everyone left behind?

I think for most it's a way to make the grid more reliable, not to replace it. Certainly true in the Netherlands (but we have winters where solar panels are close to useless).
