This is basically how Trump wants to run the elections in the US — under the watchful eyes of armed guards.
Residents in occupied Donetsk are seen casting ballots for Russia’s State Duma elections under armed guard.

Masked Russian soldiers escort mobile voting teams door to door.

part of this is obviously national political conditions but don't underrate the extent to which a bunch of these incumbent republicans have never had to run a competitive general election campaign and basically do not know how to do it

RFK Jr. wants people to get sick. He wants them to get sick and he thinks it is a good thing if they die, since those who live will have "natural immunity" and emerge stronger and fitter.

Mr. Kennedy spoke next, linking arms with the group even as measles cases continue to rise”

RFK, Jr. obviously feels debilitating guilt that he hasn't lived up to his father's legacy.
He can't help but see every vaccine as a silent killer, as his sole path to greatness is to vanquish the scientists and technocrats that are beneath his station. Thus he feels no remorse when kids die.
I remember when polio put my friends into iron lungs.

We lined up at school to get vaccinated. We eradicated the disease. We protected the common good and saved lives.

Now, two MORE unvaccinated people have died from measles.

What RFK Jr. is doing to public health in America is a disgrace.

The fact that this is imaginary is perfect. The whole premise is based on a fantasy that the optimal form of public education is the midpoint of a polarized society. Just split the difference between the science of climate change and the lobby of denialism.
