My unpopular (?) opinion is that Vampire knew what it was about when it described itself as "gothicpunk". Sure, *cyber*punk has scary elements but a lot of it is doing cool shit with the cannon you built into your arm. My neonate can easily, out the gate, turn into a wall-climbing bat monster.

This point, from my recent interview with @perrybaconjr.bsky.social for TNR, is so crucial. Trans people are desperate for relief from the relentless Republican attacks impacting all of us.
When Democrats move right, they signal relief may not be coming, and that engenders a lot of despair.
