I do some writing for Xbox Tavern, and sometimes for gamecritics. I have a Youtube channel that people still visit to watch the intro for Super Meat boy, and sometimes to watch some out takes from the Obi-Wan game on Xbox

A guy I used to go climbing with once cracked a joke in front of me about a woman climbing in front of us - I looked at him and went 'what are you saying?'. He was furious, and I kept trying to explain that he was objectifying her and it was weird for him to do that.
i worry that men think being A Good Guy is dramatically and heroically intervening on behalf of an endangered woman and then being publicly rewarded on a grand scale when actually being A Good Guy is just usually saying, “hey man that’s not funny” or “wow that’s fucked up” and there is no reward

what cis people fail to understand about transphobia is that it's not "treating trans men as women and trans women as men," it's "constantly occupying the status of Third-Sexed Unhuman who can be gendered in whichever way is most convenient at any given moment"

Not everyone gets to have a 'who's who' of games industry writers and journalists wish you well. Danielle showed up in the second iteration of the Idle Thumbs podcast and I followed her through different publications and it made my day-to-day richer.
Have some BIG NEWS, and it really is wild that today is also the anniversary of the Fanbyte Apocalypse. But my time at Game Developer is done, and hence, my time as a full-time game journalist has come to an end. 20 years in a career sure is something. www.tumblr.com/danielling/8...
