Again. Socialist ideas make people want to draw and work, shocking. Seriously, though, the rest of the advice is solid too.
I would say my two big long term factors are 1: being Canadian w socialized healthcare and 2: keeping a wide variety of personal and freelance projects underway. Being able to procrastinate from one project using another has been my only way to avoid severe burnout
People who make comics (or other freelance art work) as their fulltime job: how do you do it? How do you make it work, esp financially?
