40 years ago, it was so common for men to have a beautiful house with a beautiful wife that he would frequently confuse them for another’s. Sometimes they wouldn’t even know how they had arrived at said location in a large automobile. Now the days have gone by and men struggle to achieve either.
One of the absolute best things about New York local politics is that I've gotten to see DiBlasio, Adams AND Mamdani all address the city with their own unique take on "These are garbage bins and the trash goes INSIDE them." Very different stylistic choices were made.

speaking as someone living in NYC now vs growing up in the burbs, if vandalism on public transportation bothers you this much you were always a huge asshole piece of shit
ngl living in NYC vs. growing up in the burbs has made me a bit more “tough on crime” in the sense that I see firsthand how even if 99% of people follow the law, all it takes is one person to ruin it for everyone, particularly with public transit (vandalism, harassment, pulling emergency brake, etc)

When I was a kid this level of delusion and bad faith argument was pretty much the sole territory of the religious right. Congrats to the campsite left at reaching young earth-level delusion in so little time, couldn't have been easy.

One thing I've come to realize on here is that a growing segment of Americans take gerrymandering to mean any kind of rule or policy intended to game elections or advantage a party rather then a specific term relating to the drawing of district lines.
Tiny rural township here. I wish more people understood, these states aren't red, they're just gerrymandered out the ass. Young women, specifically in the rural south, are very badly served by their communities, and they're incandescent about it.
