If you can be convinced that any group of people is subhuman and/or not deserving of equal rights, then you can be convinced that ANY group is subhuman and not deserving of equal rights with compelling enough evidence. Compelling evidence doesn't have to be good, it just has to make you feel a way.
As a footnote, if a mechanism exists to deprive ANY group of civil rights—no matter how reviled they are, and by however many—then that mechanism WILL eventually be weaponized against YOU.
You do not have to be trans or pro-trans to be against deprivation of anyone's rights.
