As of July 1, rural providers once again have 24/7 access to CHARLiE (pediatrics) and MaBAL (maternity/women's health) by Zoom or phone, operated by the @rccbc.bsky.social

It's important that family physicians are appropriately compensated for the time and expertise required to complete Canada Pension Plan Disability (CPPD) medical reports.

We're pleased to see the increase in remuneration for them. Thank you for your advocacy @cfpc-cmfc.bsky.social!
After working closely with ESDC, we’re thrilled to announce they’re increasing remuneration for family docs who complete the CPPD form, effective Sept. 30. This is an important step forward, but we'll continue to work with ESDC alongside our members to streamline the form: https://ow.ly/2pUX50Zis4E
