TfL has unveiled Buses for London, our city's first publicly owned bus company, with several routes coming back into public ownership from late 2027.

An important step, which will safeguard vital services and put passengers before profit.

Three people, including a child, drowned in the Channel today.

Our politics is so broken that the debate is never about how we stop these deaths and always about how we can come up with harsher policies that make more deaths inevitable.

An important breakthrough in the campaign for reparative justice this week, which creates potential precedents for other Commonwealth countries.

Jamaica is the first country to take this route, directly petitioning the King through his constitutional role.
Jamaica hails King’s decision to refer slavery reparations petition to privy council as ‘really big deal’
The move comes after Jamaica’s culture minister Olivia Grange travelled to the UK earlier this month to lodge the historic petition

This week, the PM announced plans to extend bereavement leave to couples who experience pregnancy loss at 24 weeks or earlier.

Every baby loss is worthy of compassion. This is a welcome policy change, which respects that and gives people more time to process and grieve.

Today marks the National Day of Awareness for Childhood Sexual Abuse.

Child sexual exploitation thrives on silence. Let's stand with survivors and victims today by speaking up.

Solidarity with every survivor and with everyone working to keep children safe.

It's Sickle Cell Awareness Month and we still urgently need more Black blood donors to help treat patients with this devastating condition.

Together with Janet Daby MP, I've written to the government to outline further steps that can be taken to address the ongoing shortfall.

The great privatisation experiment has failed in nearly every public service industry in which it has been tried.

It's time to take water back into public ownership.

We urgently need more Black blood donors, with the NHS only able to meet half of hospital demand for the Ro blood type.

This Sickle Cell Awareness Month, I’ve tabled an EDM calling for action.

Please give blood this month and ask your MP to sign 🩸

Out in Myatt’s Field campaigning for our Labour byelection candidate, Molly Hartill🌹

Great to talk to residents about the issues that matter to them and the change they want to see in their community.

🗳️ Vote Labour on Thursday 8th October

Thames Water is not just crap; it is also full of crap, spilling sewage into our waterways 9,189 times last year alone.

In this week's Westminster Hall debate, I called on the government to end this scandal and bring water back into public ownership.

Here are some of my thoughts and highlights on what we got up to at last year’s Reparations Conference.

Looking forward to seeing you all there this year in a month's time!

📆Mark your calendars for Saturday 17th October at Friends House, Euston.

It was great to speak at the Stand Up for Choice 2026 protest.

We were not gifted the right to choose. We fought for it. And we will not hand it back willingly.

Abortion is healthcare.

It was amazing to see so many people out. Thank you Abortion Rights UK for the event.

The press pursue a Black man to the end of his life and Parliament says nothing about their conduct.

Today, I raised the sustained harassment and intrusion Prof Jason Arday was subjected to in the days before his death and asked why Parliament is yet to see a statement on this.

It's not a done deal but we are one step closer to making history by bringing the market under community ownership.

Today’s sanctions, taken in coordination with 11 other states, are a welcome step that brings concrete pressure to bear on Israel.

They recognise Israel’s unlawful occupation and ethnic cleansing in the West Bank and ban trade with illegal settlements in the area.

Pleased to sign this letter calling on the government to implement rent controls.

Rents have exploded and wages haven't kept up, with the average Lambeth renter spending ~50% of their salary on rent.

Let's put affordability above profitability and ease the pressure on renters.

Good luck to Shirin Georgiani in today's Trinity byelection.

A Tory win this week would see them gaining full control of Wandsworth Council and free to cut services across the borough.

If you're a Trinity resident, make sure you get out and vote Labour🌹

Producers are pitching projects about Prof Jason Arday to broadcasters, claiming they have the Arday family's blessing. This is a lie.

The vultures are circling a grieving family before they have even had space to mourn. Shame on all those trying to profit from Jason.

Today we remember the millions who were trafficked, tortured and enslaved.

And we honour those who brought that system down. On this day in 1791, the enslaved people of Haiti rose up and lit the fire that would end an empire of bondage.

Power concedes nothing without a demand.

Prof Jason Arday was hounded to his death. This was not journalism.

It was a coordinated campaign by a race science network funded by billionaires and given a home at Cambridge.

The press amplified every word. The institutions must answer.

We cannot let Jason's name be buried with him.
