Still buzzing from McNulty’s ride on Sunday, but this was good to see from Pog - he’s a class act, a good champion, and seems to love the sport he’s dominating.

Thanks, @escape.escapecollective.com.ap.brid.gy

I wish more people understood the level of hyper-awareness and vigilance it takes to ride a bike (or walk!) in so many places across the United States.

when you talk about deserved winners, i'm not sure there are more deserved winners than guys like McNulty. absolutely workhorses that rarely get microphone time or more than a thanks after doing their work.

and today he worked for it and earned it.

just fucking incredible.

I’m glad to see that Canadia has brought along the European tradition of repaving the race course. Women’s world looks good.

Show idea that GCN* should have done while they still had a budget:

Grand Tour (Bikes) - Get an ex-cyclist* and another athlete who rides bikes**. Plus a bike mechanic / tech junkie. Each episode starts with a recap of a historic race, and then the hosts go ride the stage on period bikes.
Watched episode 4 of the new Grand Tour and that's more like it. A cool comparison of two high end restomod/remake cars with great cinematography. And then the challenge was find the most durable car ever by putting them through the wringer in Wales.

That's what I want from new GT.

Picked up my feet and put them down. Repeatedly about 13,000 times. Increased entropy in my local environment. Circumnavigated the river between the Drawbridge and Old Mystic on foot for the first time in a while.

Gonna nap, and then dig postholes.

France gets it.

Too bad we don’t have a Ben Franklin or John Adams to send to Paris and bring these good ideas back with them.

25 miles of New England backroad and then hot lobster roll. Best day of the year.

Forgive me Ahnold, for it has been more than two weeks since my last visit to the gym

As penance: Picked up steel. Set it down again. Repeated like 100 times. Raised the entropy in my local environment. Did not achieve transcendence. Will try again later.

The most dangerous thing many people do every day is drive their car and almost no one operates a vehicle with that in mind
It's funny, I know several people who are older than me and entirely risk averse about everything, flying, "germs", all of it. But as soon as they get behind the wheel of a car, they act like they are in a James Bond chase scene just going to the grocery store. I don't get it.
