Macron: “Brexit is the biggest lie of the last 30 years.

“Those who said, "We will be richer" - eight points of GDP less ten years later.

"”We will solve the problem of immigration" - it is more complicated than before.

"”We are going to crush it in international trade" - it is worse.”

In case you missed it ...
Labour hasn't officially talked about the benefits of EU and Single Market membership for over 10 years now. So do they expect to just pop it into the next manifesto without a warm up? It isn't enough to just mention Brexit damage. You have to say what makes the EU great!

Canada and Australia will have a better, closer relationship with the EU than Britain has. While they look to the future and adapt their policies to meet new challenges, the UK government still feels bound by ridiculous red lies adopted almost a decade ago. It won't even rejoin the Single Market!

English politicians may ignore this, but it really is a big deal and symptomatic of the loss of faith in Westminster — especially since Brexit.
Our nations have the right to determine their own futures ✊

Today, Plaid Cymru, the SNP and Sinn Féin commit to working together to build a fairer future for our nations and the communities we represent ❤️

I'm not even sure this is a nationalist issue - its just decades of Whitehall only ever caring about London combined with the huge disenfranchisement of Brexit. "Leaders of Sinn Féin, Plaid Cymru and SNP to sign independence declaration"

Trump has just said Lindsay Clancy "did a horrible, horrible thing". Does that mean he's probably prejudiced any retrial?

According to Nigel Farage, Iceland being in the EU Single Market, having free movement of people and belonging to Schengen is perfectly compatible with national independence.

I look forward to him endorsing the same independence for the UK: back in the Single Market, with free movement and Schengen

From Mr Brexit himself. Apparently you CAN be in the single market at still be independent. Remember that folks

Iceland is not in the EU, but it is a member of the Schengen area. It’s also a member of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) and is part of the Single Market, meaning it enjoys freedom of movement with the EU.

Good to know that doesn’t impact their independence. Maybe we should try it, Nige.

Before idiotic Brexiters gloat over the Iceland referendum, it should be noted that Iceland is in the EU single market and Shengen, so are already streets ahead way better off than the UKs pathetic red lines

@eddavey.libdems.org.uk refusing to rule out a pact with the Conservatives when the last time they had a pact was the most disastrous move for LibDems in their history, where people have still not forgiven them over tuition fees. Every party, full of idiots it seems.

It goes without saying that Trump is a petulant child with his renaming, but I love how everyone on the internet is suddenly fluent in indigenous languages and the etymology of Lake Ontario 😀

Why have they changed the opening lines to Saving Lives At Sea... come on BBC, it was iconic!!! "We're an island nation, drawn to the sea that surrounds us...For them saving live is a WAY of life"

If Canada, who are hugely dependant on trade with the US can tell Trump where to go with his crappy trade deals, then the EU and the UK should also be able to. Why aren't they standing up to him in the same way? #Carney

I've literally lost count of the number of times I've switched on BBC News only to find it platforming Reform holding yet another "press conference". Completely uninterrupted diatribes. When is the UK Gov going to clamp down on this?
