We still don't have #PowerShell Symbol support in GitHub

Please up vote this for @github.com to think about adding it

An important part from the @vscode.dev Documentary about #PowerShell being the alpha dogfooder of the LSP (Language Server Protocol)

This is an awesome watch (start at 49:15 for this scene)
Definitely worth every minute so far

I just watched www.youtube.com/watch?v=HgG2... with @psfred.bsky.social & @chagercoc.bsky.social

A really great session with the two of them really bouncing off of each other really well.

And Fred definitely definitely didn't say about Copilot ejaculation in this his code being annoying at all😜

Closely followed by the #PowerShell team's bot being asked to sign the CLA (Contributor License Agreement)

This is funny as bot's themselves cannot sign an agreement, even if they can respond to a comment like this, even if said bot is "employed" by a Company like Microsoft

This needs another

In today's funny #PowerShell related things I found whilst looking at PR's in the main repo

This comment from @sdwheeler.bsky.social about the PowerShell team's automation bot (not Claude or copilot etc) being thanked in the changelogs.

I'm on the fence about this "highly controversial topic"

Oooh my favourite dotnet decompiler just got better

Will be giving this version a test soon
About a month after the last 10.x servicing release comes #ILSpy 11. Ported to @avaloniaui.net, now available for Linux, Mac and Windows! THE open-source #dotnet decompiler just got ways more useful, read about the three major areas of investment at github.com/icsharpcode/...
Release ILSpy 11.0 · icsharpcode/ILSpy
The major news item of this release cycle is us porting ILSpy from WPF to Avalonia. With this port, ILSpy is now available on Linux and Mac in addition to Windows. Do note that there is no longer a...

grr yet more irritating Hugo nonsense

this time pages that I know for a fact have previously built & deployed are no longer doing so, locally or otherwise

Might just take my blog totally offline & replatform it tbh as this shouldn't keep happening.

Not everyday that I find a bug that I can fix in the PowerShell code base that's actually reasonably small.

Doubly so when it was @posh.guru that added

Trying to write the test for it though is, well, making me really scratch my head, especially as it may instead be better fixed in dotnet.

Another great session (as expected) by @posh.guru on @vscode.dev Optimisations for #PowerShell at @psconf.eu

Had to double take every time he was discussing the LSP server though.

Now to play around with some of the things I learnt about in this

reviewing a pr in the #PowerShell repo

go to build it locally & test it out

think why's this not built as expected

3 rebuilds later after some param changes

💡💡💡realise that I hadn't checked out the branch & was rebuilding the master branch 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Woke up at 7pm UK time cos I'm a night 🦉

Decided delve deep into adding a new parameter to #PowerShell

Almost, almost got it all working as I want it.

Yet I really doubt this will end up in the main repo

But a fun task to dig into

Thank you @bsky.app for not being the steaming 💩 that X has decided to be by deleting the Dim Dark mode setting.

Because nothing is ever Black or White & platforms like this really do need a middle ground.

It'd be nice for users to have the option to put their own custom CSS for the theme though

Hey @markrussinovich.bsky.social please give @steve--lee.bsky.social more funds towards headcount as there's lots that the PowerShell community need from the PowerShell team and from my perspective they've been under funded for too long now

Happy to have a chat with you directly on this
