Something I think the public xG modeling sites is missing is HDCF vs HD shots on net (and MD/LD).
How many of these attempts actually get through to goalies?

Igor Shesterkin was an early Vezina favorite with a .927 SV% and leading the NHL in GSAA. With the new structure/systems taking hold and #NYR allowing a 4th-lowest 166 total SOG against, Shesty's numbers likely would have stayed at that level.

It's safe to assume Garand will exceed those needs. Even a .905 SV%, which was last night's performance (19 saves on 21 shots), is more than enough.
