So if the word “ice” is being taken, and ice is hielo in Spanish, could we call frozen water “amarillo” now? Another strong alternative from a friend of mine is “slippy cubes”, but that really just works for the version you put in water.

The luxury we have at my state job is fridges and microwaves. When I started, neither was paid for by the state so a volunteer had to go around with an envelope to collect contributions to a fund for communal purchase of them for the office. Coffee makers + coffee are still communally funded.
At one of my state gov't jobs, if you wanted trash or recylcing picked up, ever, you had to carry it to a centrally located pickup point in the building.
The executive jet that DHS says it needs has a “bedroom with a queen bed, showers, a kitchen, four large flat-screen TVs and even a bar ..”

“Poor soil” is generous. I believe there’s like 200’ of wetland muck before you get to anything solid. If memory serves, even the pedestrian bridge over the tracks there is sitting on like 200’ pilings. Also, shallow groundwater and lots of contamination in the vicinity.
"Given the line’s nearly $3 billion price tag and the rarity of an undeveloped, city-owned parcel surrounding a new light-rail station, you’d think there would be more public discussion about the future of Linden Yards."
Roper: New Minneapolis light rail route threads through strange concrete wasteland
The city got a raw deal on the location of Southwest’s stations, but should make the most of them.

I’m just really disappointed that our governor took a look at all the terrible things happening around us right now and thought that what he really wanted to spend the state’s $ and civil servants’ time and energy on was forcing them all to work in expensive office buildings against their will.
