I like how the Halloween decorations we get with try me lights have the button cells in them so we get to replace the batteries in our kids’ toys and sound books for free. Much cheaper than buying a pack of button cells. Also I just kept forgetting to get them or not remembering what type we needed.

We are all dead, and we spoiled the world before we died. There is nothing left. Nothing but dreams.

I forgot to get out my real camera last night because I’m sick but I remembered that the lunar eclipse was happening so I tried to get a few photos and did the best I could on my phone. It was cloudy but I enjoyed it.

lol ok let’s go. I’ve been double checking that my voter’s registration is still active once a week or so. Texans remember the deadline to register is October 5th this year. And you CANNOT register or update your address online and if you mail it in it must be completed by then not just received.

New from 404 Media: we solved which AI company is buying massive shipments of rare books, scanning and destroying them to train AI.

We put an Apple AirTag in a rare book, followed it. It ended up at an Amazon facility. Its logo is a dinosaur ripping through a book www.404media.co/we-tracked-a...
We Tracked a Shipment of Rare Books. It Ended at an Amazon AI Training Facility
We placed a tracking device in a shipment of rare books to see which AI company was buying it, and found an Amazon facility where Amazon scans and destroys books.

“Hey there”??? I have already done this and Texas does not require them to verify my age, it only requires the app store to. At least I only had to click the share age range even though I’ve already given the app permission through iPhone settings.

I shouldn’t even have to had shared my age range. I already had the app downloaded and I’m not making purchases.

There was no way I would ever share my personal data with a third party just to use social media so I’m glad it finally changed from asking me to verify my age to just sharing my age range. They could have done this from the start. 😒 Their comply or delete message wasn’t great either.

In folklore the sunflower is considered a flower of loyalty because each day it turns its head to loyally follow the sun, from east to west 🌞

Ankylosaurus because dimetrodon has been found to be more closely related to mammals.
A shocking new poll result: Many Americans somehow don't have a favorite dinosaur.

And only 6% give the correct answer (triceratops).

Remember that time when there was a season between winter and summer? I think it was called “spring,” and we could open the windows and let everything air out and it felt really nice?

I miss that.

Now it’s either 45 or 89 during the day. Nothing in between.

It sucks.

I have BCBS TX insurance. My doctors are in the Memorial Hermann system. I pay them both so much money, and they want me as patient to contact BCBS to persuade them to keep them in network?!

Everyday I keep up with the news and then file it away in its own little compartment in my brain or spam @wcwworldwide.com’s inbox so I can interact with our children who are too young for the news because we cannot talk about the news in front of them—they don’t listen but they hear everything.

THREAD: Cherise Doyley was in her 12th hour of contractions at the hospital when a tablet was brought to her bedside.

On the screen was a Zoom call with a judge and several lawyers and doctors.

She was in court, a nurse told her. The reason? For failing to agree to a C-section.

Staying up to date with the news and then interacting with my young children who are too young for the news is an exercise in extreme compartmentalizing in my brain. Also one of my cats licked the last bite of my breakfast while I was helping my daughter.

The video of a United States Senator joining the violent removal of U.S. marine from a hearing and hideously breaking his arm in a door is an example of what has been unleashed in this country. They’re tapping in to get in on the violence.
And then he bragged about it on X later.

listen to me please: you cannot defend your life from the state with a gun. if you pick up a gun and use it against the state, you will die. if you're going to advocate for armed resistance you need to understand that you are telling people to die. that may be what you mean, but say it.
