God the public are so fickle. This is basically the same reform as planned under Starmer, but previously everyone were so concerned about "taking away the right to a jury trial". This does the same.

I agree with either reform.

Just a helpful reminder that a couple of months ago Diane Abbott went to a big Cranks Conference in Central London (which was well represented by a bunch of trade unions, naturally), and described the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine as "the NATO campaign against Russia".

The MH370 flight recorders will very likely still be readable for some time yet. These things are watertight and airtight and the aircraft looks to have hit the water relatively slowly (from the large pieces of wreckage found). There's no good reason why they wouldn't be intact.
