I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Jane Yolen. She wrote so many wonderful books but these were the ones that most impacted me. May her memory be for a blessing.

Jean Strouse’s FAMILY ROMANCE explores John Singer Sargent relationship with some of his more famous Jewish subjects - the Wertheimer family, and the role of Jews in the art trade.

I read it in audiobook and now I want to go see the paintings!

You thought with all the anniversary hoopla I forgot it was the first day or Pride didn’t you? I did not forget! Happy Pride everyone! But also, when trying to make a book rainbow, I discovered a lot of my Jewish queer books have either pink or black spines. I’m not mad about it.
