This is what AI told me on March 6th. Jesse Jackson died on February 17th. Super Intelligence indeed.

Why does it look like the Cleveland Guardians have the Canadian flag at half mast in the stadium tonight?

Bob Dylan is over twice as old as Dylan Thomas was when he died...which partly explains why he's made so many more records.

A small but mighty haul of songwriters' vinyl from a shop in Idyllwild yesterday. Three absolute masters of the craft.

You couldn’t make a film like Dog Day Afternoon today…because it’s almost 6pm and you wouldn’t have enough time.

Please lord, don’t let the pasty-white-dudes-taking-their-shirts-off thing spread to the Rogers Centre.

All we hear is...

We constantly hear about our online data being farmed…and yet a chat group and website can exist where men are posting rapes of their partners, and nothing is being done. Doors are not being smashed in. It’s almost as if our society doesn’t care. Infuriating.

You’re so vague, you prob’ly think this song is about…something.

RIP James Gadson, drummer.

Working with everyone from Marvin Gaye to Norah Jones, Aretha Franklin to Justin Timberlake, his career spanned 6 decades. He played on over 500 gold records, including Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get It On," the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack and Herbie Hancock's "Manchild"

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but “I don’t know who needs to hear this” is an annoying way to start a sentence.

I don't know why people are so critical of AI - it's clearly performing miracles...

Of all people, I share a birthday with former Prince Andrew. I am going through chemotherapy right now…but it is somehow comforting to know I’m having a better birthday than him.

Duvall. What a giant. To Kill A Mockingbird, The Godfather, The Conversation, Godfather Part ll, Network, Apocalypse Now, Tender Mercies, Lonesome Dove, The Apostle…and many more. Just an astonishing gift to the world of film. RIP

Somewhere Down The Crazy River by Robbie Robertson is my favourite song to mention “Kokomo” by quite a distance.

@jessehawken.bsky.social I can't remember if you have the ear of Scorsese or not...but if so, could you give him a little push on the SCTV doc?

I have little to say about Catherine O’Hara that others on here haven’t already stated. From SCTV onward, she was as good a comedic performer as there’s ever been. RIP to a master.

The real revolution in Bob Dylan going electric at Newport in 1965 had to do with the length of his live shows. With the wood stove-powered Dylan, the coal fired Dylan, or the Dylan run on leaded gasoline, concerts could go only 20 minutes before the coughing drowned him out.

A quote I always remember this time of year from the giant consortium of retailers - “Hey - let’s all use price tags that are impossible to remove from items…and will leave a sticky, gummy mess.”

If all Rob Reiner had ever done was This Is Spinal Tap, he’d be a legend of comedy. But he gave us so, so much more. Just fucking gutted to hear the news tonight.
