BREAKING NEWS
KOSA failed to pass in the US Senate (thanks to Paul, R.), but remember this was the FOURTH attempt from American politicians to get it passed. Expect another attempt in the next term; stay vigilant, and do not let the USA adopt ID-collecting laws such as the SCREEN Act & KOSA.

After Senator Blumenthal sought unanimous consent for KOSA, engaging in brutally transparent hand-waving of free speech issues, Senator Rand Paul stands up to object, and unanimous consent fails.

Because of how cartoonishly and unrealistically evil Rance is, the cleaned up version with him constantly trying to kiss girls instead of assaulting them ends up sounding a little creepier sometimes because it feels more grounded to people in reality lol.

Oh hey by the way, Fall of Avalon is on sale right now and I was deeply impressed with what I played of it. Planning on going back to it soon. If you like Bethesda/Obsidian games, but don't wanna support Microsoft, this is better than those.

@doublefine.com pls patch better controller support into Psychonauts one pls
The first game is on sale too. Practically a steal.
I think this one is much more original, and although the gameplay and visuals have aged a lot (a LOT), I think the story is stronger.

Just a warning for everyone, since Video Game Slopterica keeps being the most irresponsible YouTube Channel to exist these days.
The Banjo-Tooie Recompilation is NOT associated with us. It is entirely AI-generated. Both Zelda: Recompiled and Banjo: Recompiled have very clear No AI stances.

I also believe in restorative justice but I don't think that means you get to become a pillar of a community and garner an audience and an income that relies solely on everyone including yourself staying silent about your actions.

Any doctor who signs up for executions is by definition a fucking psychopath and so it shouldn’t be surprising that he’s also an incompetent buffoon
Tennessee's last botched execution was way back in [checks notes] May.
"Mark Fowler, the doctor who was involved in Carruthers’ attempted execution, also oversaw Pike’s — at this time — attempted death sentence."

Doctor involved in Tony Carruthers’ botched execution administered Christa Pike’s lethal injection — and she’s still alive
Ihnen confirmed the team is filing a motion to stay the execution, the latest in a back-and-forth over the “Jobs Corps Murder” convict’s execution.

I dunno man, it's kind of unsettling to see rampant gushing and uncritical praise for the new Gears of War game while the people who made it are literally being laid off. The very least you could do is mention the layoffs

It's disappointing that my clear leader for GOTY didn't get taken across the finish line by the full team who made it like they deserved to.
But I'm told with good authority this sizeable update makes an already tremendous game even more so.

Wow, truthfully I wrote this and thought, “oof I’m posting through it on main and will find probably find this embarrassing/delete this tomorrow morning.” But somehow this made sense and even resonated with folks. Love you all 🤍
I feel like I have so much I want to say but it’s just this incoherent ramble. But do you know how much it weighs on me to be the one woman on staff at GameSpot? To be one of VERY few women in the industry? To be one of ever fewer moms? To walk into press events and be the *sole* woman?
