Ask my dad what he's up to this weekend and he's like, "Got a 50s Dodge truck cab to attach to the chasis of the junked Mini Cooper so I can turn it into a rat rod." I laughed, so he sends me pics. Oh you're serious.

Just out there running around, undiagnosed.

Fascinating world of ancient #glass!
#Roman dove-shaped vessels were used as perfume bottles. The liquid was sealed inside and the tip of the tail or the beak had to be broken to remove the perfume. This particular example, discovered in a first-century burial at Rovasenda, Italy, is...🧵1/2

They say follow your dream. A few days ago, I dreamt about eating an enormous ice cream for lunch, so that's exactly what I'm going to do.

"Take my advice, I never use it" is exactly the sort of straightforward but clever line I like, the rest of it feels a bit... low-effort?

Couldn't make it to #Rustival, looks like I missed a good one from all the photos on here. Hopefully for the next one, I'll be there in my own car, whatever unreliable contraption I end up buying

Oh! A little surprised this eventually went anywhere. I suspect they'll get the biggest fine in sporting history to pretend the authorities are being firm on this, City will pay it from their pot of Monopoly money and nothing else will happen.

There was a mock election in the lead-up to a real General Election, with the winner getting the chance to debate in assembly with our actual MP. All was going well, until the real MP started bellowing (and I mean bellowing, giving it the full Brian Blessed) about wind turbines
Bizarre things that happened in your assembly: A neighbour of one of the teachers gave us a five-minute lecture about kwashiorkor which involved him reciting a list of his favourite words (yes, ‘kwashiorkor’ was one of them). Included the unforgettable phrase, “Diarrhoea, another beautiful word.”
Some dancers once came to our school once and did a routine to Uptown Girl in the middle of assembly. I've still no idea why.
